4 Ways to Enjoy Your Favorite Music on Your Sonos Speakers

It’s Easier Than Ever to Find the Songs, Albums or Artists You Want

Having to find a balance between convenience and quality is a thing of the past. Sonos wireless speaker systems bring hi-fidelity audio to every corner of your home. Not only can you eliminate bulky wires from your Wayzata, Minnesota property, but you can also have access to thousands of music titles at the press of a button. Whether you prefer your digital media library, or you want to explore streaming sites to find new music, Sonos has a solution for you.

Streaming Services

The easiest way to get music to your speakers is through one of the many streaming services available on your Sonos app. You have access to thousands of options, so you’re sure to find one that works for you. All of the big players are available including Tidal, Spotify, Pandora, and Apple Music. If there’s a particular one you plan on using the most, add it to your Sonos favorites, so it’s easy for you to find in the future.

Online Radio Stations

One of the streaming services offered through Sonos is TuneIn Radio, which gives you access to over 100,000 local and international radio stations. It also offers “Music Picks” categorized by different genres so you can explore new rock, country or pop artists. Of course, your wireless system is not only great for music. You can also listen to talk radio stations, podcast or audiobooks. You can even stream all of the Twins games with a premium account. If you can’t find the podcast you want on TuneIn Radio, you can also use Stitcher or save your podcasts directly to your media library.

Media Library

There are also a few ways you can listen to your own music. From the main menu of your Sonos app, you can choose to stream music from your iPhone, iPad or Android device. The app also lets you connect up to 16 storage devices (like a PC or MacBook) as long as they’re on your home network. As part of your installation, we help you get all your music linked to your Wi-Fi so you can find it easily on your Sonos sound system.

Turntable

Along with the rise of streaming services, the comeback of vinyl records has been the other big movement in the music industry. Whether fans want them as collectibles or value the higher audio quality, sales for vinyl records went up by 52 percent between 2013 and 2015. You can make your brand new turntable part of your Sonos experience. All you have to do is plug in your turntable to a Sonos Connect or Connect Amp. You may have to buy an additional phono preamp if your turntable does not include one (don’t worry, we can guide you through the process!).
